August 19, 2000. Carlsbad,New Mexico, USA There is a crack happened to natural gas pipe owned by El Paso Gas. The released gas was burnt and lasted for 55 minutes. The accident caused 12 people dead and 3 cars destroyed. The direct economic loss was 998,296 US dollars.
